What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. What kills you makes you invincible.
Adderfang padded through the forest. Her lithe paws made no noise as the touched down on ground below, for the leaves were as dead as she was and did not get the luxury of sound. The she-cat's light pelt, surprisingly, did not stand out among the dark trees. Her twitching tail was held high above her, a symbol of confidence and comfort. Nothing could get her now- she was already dead, after all. Drawing slowly to a stop, she lifted her paw to her face, gave it a single lick, and put it back down again. Ahh, time. Someting she would never run out of. How perfect. Her bright eyes glinted as her new saying ran, over and over again, through her mind and she resumed walking.
Power. That's what every OtherClan cat had wanted before they died and traveled to the land of the dead. Some of them had never been successful, killed by their oh so heroic leader, a Clanmate or two, or even their own allies, prisoners of their own scheme in the end. Some of them, on the other hand, had. Like the great Tigerstar, now only a legend in sky stories. He had accomplished everything a twisted mind like his had asked for- only to have all his lives, one by one, ripped away in the end. What a tragedy. Adderfang had never told anyone why she had died. Only her leader knew- the only cat she really trusted. They got to know all the stories of how cats died, whether the cat wanted them to or not, but that didn't bother the she-cat. As long as no one else knew, that was fine with her.
Adderfang didn't really have a destination. Where else could she go? She was just.. being. Enjoying.. what would you say? Death. Enjoying death. She chuckled to herself at the sound of it. Oh how she wished her family was here to enjoy death with her. But no, they were in StarClan's territory, being good and kind and sappy as they watched over their Clanmates. OtherClan cats didn't bother with that foxdung. The cats with minds like theirs didn't need watching over. They were perfectly fine on their own, until they made the journey to their Clan after life. So why did StarClan, and their followers down below on earth- those weak cats who always needed guidance of their ancestors, from the moment they were born to after life ended- get all the glory? Adderfang had never heard of OtherClan- her entire life.
Hissing in sudden agitation, the deputy swiped at a nearby rock, sending it pummeling into a tree's trunk. This time, it made a sound. A sickening thump as it burrowed into soft bark. Why? Because Adderfang had made it so. The power of her thoughts- and the thoughts of her Clanmates- ruled here. With a sneer, she sat down, curling her long tail around her paws. What to do, what to do. Sometimes life just got so boring here, she admitted to herself. The OtherClan cats needed some excitement.
With a sniff, Adderfang leaped to her paws again. Quick as a flash, she darted up the nearest tree, splaying lazily on its branches and letting her tail and paws hang down. There was no breeze for them to swing in, but that was okay with her. She never enjoyed wind, anyway. "Now to plan," she mumbled to herself, closing her eyes.
There were a few moments of silence. Complete silence- no heartbeats, no scuffling in the forest below, no nothing. Then, as suddenly as they had closed, Adderfang's eyes shot open. StarClan. That was it. StarClan would pay for their ignorance. The OtherClan cats would have some fun- by invading StarClan's camp.
