Saeo is a slippery green garden snake, in more ways than one. He is tricky and sharp-tongued, just like Sungazer.
Q u i c k . P h y s i c a l:
Dark yellow tom with yellow eyes. He is blind, but he doesn't look like it, and many cats get confused.
F u l l . P h y s i c a l:
We'll start with his dark yellow head. He has yellow eyes that have no shine, nor a pupil. His pupils have become yellow, like his irises. His blind eyes usually can act like they can see, and many cats get confused, including Skystar and Shadowfox. The rest of his body is a nice dark yellow. He has a white underbelly, and his ears are small and his paws are dainty. He's a very small cat, when we get down to it. His tail is long, and is usually in a curl. Saeo is usually on his neck, gazing at the sun with him.
P e r s o n a l i t y:
Sungazer, though young, is rather wise. I suppose it comes with losing sight. He is rather snappy, like most blind cats. But, he accepts help whenever he knows he needs it. Whenever he doesn't, he won't accept it. He can hold up his part in a Clan battle, thanks to Saeo.
H i s t o r y:
When he was but seven Moons, his sight was robbed from him from looking at the sun for too long. Three Moons later, and the fact that he'd be an apprentice later, passed. A forest fire roared through camp, killing or scattering every Clan member, except one. Sungazer was saved by a rogue who claimed to be a Clan cat. Her name was Moonglade.
O v e r a l l:
Sungazer is a dark yellow tom, like a darker version of the sun. He has bright yellow eyes, that see nothing. Sungazer is blind. His companion, and also his guide, is Saeo, a green garden snake. Saeo is stubborn, and rough, as Sungazer is. With Saeo to guide him, no one can tell Sungazer is blind. His former clan was FaithClan, which was destroyed by fire. The only survivors were himself, and a she-cat named Moonglade.
S a m p l e:
"A fire! A fire! Get the kits, queens, and Elders out! Come on! Let's go! Sunpaw, you go to with the Elders." I heard my name, and ran to the Elder's den. I could already hear the fire roaring through the forest, I could see the giant flames, ready to burn us to a crisp. I could feel the heat burning my fur off, and I could taste the smoke. But this was all still far away, and in my imagination, about at the edge of the territory. It can't be that large, if Amberpaw and Onyxpaw outran it. They were with Rigdestar, so I guess he high-tailed it back to camp. I groaned when I smelled that oh-so-familiar scent of the Elders. I hated the Elders. They, of all people, tried to comfort me. Me, being Sunpaw, the foolish cat whose sight was robbed from staring at the sun. I heard my name from the Highstone,
"StarClan! Sunpaw deserves a Warrior name! Give it to him! StarClan, whe--" a starry figure descended from above. I, through my sightless eyes, could see just the figure. It was my mother, Sparrowgleam. She chuckled, and mewed softly,
"Sungazer, be a good boy and survive." And then she was gone. My name was Sungazer. I stood, frozen at my spot. I had seen her, for the first time in so long. I let the tears fall down my cheeks. I must've gone deaf, because I couldn't hear the Clan leaving, and leaving me behind. I realized they'd gone when I heard the roaring flames, eating up our camp. I backed up,
"Someone!" I screeched, "Help Me! I'm going to die! I can't see! The Clan's go-" I felt a strong jaw on my scruff, taking me away. I felt like I was flying as the powerful animal ran. They ran far, farther than I could go. I was coughing my head off, but the animal didn't stop. Finally, it eased to a walk, and then a stop. It dropped me, and I just lay there. It hurt to talk, I realized. I heard a sincere voice,
"Are you okay? That fire was pretty nasty. I'll go catch you prey! And... by the way... I'm Moonglade from FaithClan, your Clan. I came back to get you." and with that she bounded off. Moonglade... the name didn't seem familiar, but what did I know. My senses were messed up. The only thing I could tell, was that this was a start of a wonderful friendship.
