Hey Undying! Due to the amount of topics that need to be addressed, I’ll skip all the fancy hellos and dive right into the meat. ^^
I’m terribly sorry for my long absence within the forum, and I realise that the place has somewhat unravelled since then. As a friend and an admin, I’m extremely thankful for those who held the fort for me. This is my first attempt at a forum, and it’s harder than I thought it would be! Moonleh and I have tried our hardest to keep up with everything, but it really gets wearing after a while. With you all at our side though, it has made the journey easier and I say thank you! You are all absolutely fantastic and again, thank you, thank you, thank you! I beg of you all to hold on just a little while longer while Moonleh takes her break and I get my head screwed back on.
As for the roleplay end of things, I won’t be joining you guys again. I’ve pretty much come to face the fact that I am no longer interested enough in warriors to roleplay it, even though I still have a great fascination with reading up on the drama and watching you guys (has anyone but me noticed that warriors tend to sound like soap operas? xD). Having said that though, I will continue to update the place, chat with you all and take part in encouraging the plot. I hope it isn’t too awkward for you members to have a non-roleplaying admin.
Speaking of roleplay, I realise how hard it can be to initialize plot advancements, but I do encourage them! Not all is at peace right now. Prey is sparse, Companions are disappearing, there are more rogues than normal and tension runs thick. Feel free to get your cats into little tussles and have the mentors bark at the apprentices; heck, I’d love it. Have the non-existent queens snap at the males and have your character break the warrior code just because they feel like it. The forest as they know it is falling apart.I’m hoping to bring Havenstar back pretty quickly here; I’m just waiting on a response from Song. Once Havenstar is back… well, that’s a surprise, but I can guarantee the plot will be advanced!
I’ve been noticing that we’re starting to get some applications of warriors and apprentices who have the same prefix which from now on, I’m sorry, isn’t acceptable. I realise how disappointing it can be for you to want a name and it’s taken, but really it’s first come, fist serve. From now on, including all pending applications, double prefixed names will not be accepted under any circumstances. Also, if you have an apprentice, please specify the warrior name they will be taking on in their application. This helps keep similar named cats weeded out. Those whom I’m talking about, you know who you are.
What’s more disappointing though, I’m sure, is the ban on HorizonClan. It’s frustrating to see the main clan under lock and key. I know. Trust me. However, I would really like to press the importance of StarClan and OtherClan to the forum. They have a key part in this plot, especially towards the end. They’re not doing so much right now, but this is the time that StarClan is being betrayed and for the first time in forever, they have to do something other than watching earth. (LOLZ. Lazy kitties.) They have to fight. Once the plot is finished, OtherClan will be disappearing and the rogues will most like dissipate. StarClan however, will stay. I’ll say it again, StarClan is staying. If there are any cats I would like to encourage, it would be them. It’s appealing to make an evil character for OtherClan, but they do need to go afterwards. Don’t fall in love with your cat too much.
That being said, I will, eventually, be making more StarClan territory for your cat to roam around. Keeping a cat in one place is bad for its health! Hehe.
New members aren’t trickling in too quickly anymore. That’ll be my fault. I’ve gotten incredibly far behind in responding to advertisements and affiliation requests, but that doesn’t mean you can’t invite friends to the forum! If you know someone who is interested in warriors, pass it by them, even if they don’t roleplay. There are several members, myself included, who would be more than willing to help them get the right foot in the door to the incredible word. Of course, others are always welcome, though again, I would like to stress the literacy rule we have in the forum. Capitalization, grammar and spelling are expected to be kept up at all time, even in the cbox. I feel I should start warning for this, because there are some people who are lacking. I won’t mention any names, but again, you know who you are!
I’m absolutely thrilled that members are taking place in the games section that has been made, but I am a little worried that it’s becoming a little too distracting to the roleplay. There are members who are only posting in the games, and not participating elsewhere. I’m not mad; there were no ground rules set with them, but I feel that there should be some laid down. We are a roleplay forum, and should uphold that title. From now on, I would like it if you posted one roleplay post per two game posts. Easy to remember? Yep, yep!
Only two more issues to plow through, and I swear they’re short! Just bear with me!
The last two things I want to address are the current staff opening and the COTM. Undying Ember is in desperate need for a new addition to its admin team, and we’re really counting on you to apply for the position! You will have a say in how the forum is run and be able to influence where the plot goes. Granted you already have that power, but instead of being part of a majority, your voice will be singled out. As for the COTM, vote damnit.
