Honeywhisker jumped in the water, drenching Zane with a great wave. Unlike most other cats, she greatly enjoyed the cool flowing liquid.

"GAHHH!" Zane yelled in mock anger, "You've soaked my fur!" He laughed and shook himself partially dry, drops still clinging to the ends of his ears and tail."You look like a squirrel!" Honey said laughing. Zane smiled and then hopped away to a safe distance.He had been worried about her and seeing her happy brightened his mood.

Honey had had a lot on her mind lately, things like "Why isn't Starclan helping us?" and "How many more cats will lose their companions."She couldn't bear to live without Zane; he was her best friend, her soul...

She waded through the shallow water, then settled in a spot and rolled over. The water was extremely cold and refreshing; it cleared her mind and made her relax. Honeywhisker continued to lay there. Honey looked up at the deep blue sky desperately wishing she knew how to help her clan.

Zane watched her as she lay in the water; there was no denying that Honey was different.He shivered and huddled up into a tight furry mass, "How can she stand to be in water in this freezing weather?" he thought.

A multi-colored brown cat padded alongside the calm stream, watching his bright, white paws move in front of one another. He heard a loud splash, and various shouts coming from upstream. He glanced up, and felt his small companion shift slightly across his shoulders also to take a look.

Mountainfang padded a little bit faster, with Sasori crawling up to his head, though not saying anything, like she normally would. His gaze shifted upwards to see the tips of her claws clicking, but with no meaning in them at all. He sighed. She hadn't spoken to him in days...

He reached the source of the sound, and found Honeywhisker and her companion. "Hey..." he mewed quietly to her. She looked soaked, rolling around in the water like that. "Isn't it a bit cold in there?" He shivered at the thought of being in the water this time of year...

He sat down calmly in a dry patch of grass that was nearby the stream, and Sasori crawled off of his head, down his leg and to the ground next to him. Mountainfang glanced at the small scorpion, and sighed. He twitched his ear awkwardly, then glanced down at his paws, like he always does around others.

Honey's eyes shot open and she flipped back over onto her belly to Mountainfang and Sasori sitting a little way away from the stream. She had seen them around camp but they had never spoken as far as she could remember.

"Hello Mountainfang!"Honeywhisker exclaimed and sat up in the water. She knew she must look quite funny soaked with water; she imagined herself and started to giggle.

Honey smiled, trying to hide her embarrassment and shook the water from her fur. “Only just a bit” she giggled in reply to his question. She padded over and lay near him, her wet fur warming in a pool of sunlight. “How are you Sasori?” Honey inquired, she didn’t want to seem rude by ignoring the quiet companion.

She laid her tail strait out behind her so it would dry quicker. She then shook her fur once more, dispelling any remaining water.

Zane stayed close to Honeywhisker and kept very quiet, he looked down at his paws and tried to seem uninterested in the conversation.

Mountainfang nearly cringed when Honeywhisker shook her fur, and the water spread everywhere. "Hello Honeywhisker," he muttered, licking his nose, where a drop of water fell. He glanced at her, and smirked at her fur that was sticking up and our from the water.

Sasori glanced up at the dripping cat, but said nothing. Mountainfang glanced at her with a suddenly serious look, and sighed.

"She hasn't been talking at all..." Mountainfang muttered quietly. His ears were lowered slightly, but he looked away and back towards Honeywhisker and her companion. "How are you two doing...?" he asked.

Honeywhisker blinked sympathetically and touched the tip of her now dry tail to Mountainfang's shoulder in comfort. "I'm sorry to hear that" she whispered and looked down at her paws.

"Fine....at least for the moment." she replied. Her eyes were now on Zane, she gave him a quick lick on the ear and thanked starclan that nothing bad had happened to them yet.

Zane stared quietly at Sasori. He was fearful that the same would happen to him and he hovered close to Honey.

Honey shivered greatly. Though cold, the flowing water had kept her warm; but now that she was out it felt as if she were slowly starting to freeze.

Mountainfang glanced down at his paws, revealing the top of his tan head. He was terrible at conversations. "So... um.... Why were you playing in the water...?" he asked awkwardly, glancing up at her. "I mean... most of us don't really... like... the water... You know?" He bit his lip then glanced back down at his paws, feeling stupid.

Honeywhisker laughed slightly and smiled at Mounatinfang. "I love the way it flows, the way it runs through my fur." she mewed and looked down at her paws. "I suppose I'm unique like that." she murmured.

Honey shifted her paws under her and sniffed the air, which smelled of snow. " You seem a bit nervous, is everything all right?" Honey inquired curiously.

Mountainfang nodded slowly as he watched the water trickle downstream. Now that he thought about it, it did look rather relaxing. He finally turned back to look up to her awkwardly. "I-I'm..." he stuttered. "I'm just normally like this..." he mewed quietly. He glanced down back at his paws, then to Sasori, who was still crouched motionless on the ground. "And it's been too quiet to really talk a whole lot anyways..." he murmured.

He suddenly sat up a little bit straighter and turned away from Sasori, feeling slightly embarassed about letting all of that out. "Uhhmm... Well..." He felt his skin burn red under his brown pelt. "I uhh... Mean... I just... don't... talk much." He looked down at his paws again, and he sheathed and unsheathed his claws in an awkward silence.

Honeywhisker felt bolts of sympathy burn through her pelt as Moutainfang poured out his feelings.She stared silently at Sasori, searching for any movement from the silent companion. "I understand" she mewed quietly, her whiskers twitching "Don't be embarassed." She stood and stretched, her eyes noting that is was nearly sundown. "We should probably head back to camp now" she suggested.

Mountainfang nodded quietly, his tail flicking back and forth across the soft ground. Sasori noted this, and turned to crawl up his leg and past his shoulder to place herself comfortably onto the top of his head. Mountainfang finally stood. He glanced at the sun which had hit the horizon, sending rays of oranges and purples throughout the sky. He stared at it for a few moments, before turning towards camp. He glanced over his shoulder to make sure the she-cat and her companion were following, then continued forwards.
