The small tom held his ground when Carcus fallowed him to the ground, but didn't know what to do. If he attacked, the two of them would most likely both attack him, and he would probably be food. If he ran, they would possibly run after him, and he might be able to get away. He shuffled to a more upright position, since he was still slightly jumbled from the fall, and unsheathed his claws. "Why are you being so defensive, anyways...? he mewed. "I'm just a kit." For some strange reason, he still had one ear pricked back; listening for the shuffling and hopping of the frog that the other cat mentioned.

Carcus narrowed his eyes and hissed. "Defensive? Just a kit?" He laughed, a hiss still hinting every move he made with his mouth. "This is OUR land. We're planning an invasion, and we don't want /kits/" He spat the last word with anger, "especially /kittypet kits/ walking around knowing our weaknesses, strengths, and plans." He stopped, smiling evily. "Oops. I said too much. I guess I'll just have to kill you." He made a small pouty face then took a step forward. "That is unless you want to join us."

"I am not a stupid kittype-..." Kuro hissed, but then stopped. "An invasion... On who...?" he asked quickly. Having these cats on his side would be a much better idea than being killed by them. He bared his teeth. "And I am probably stronger than any kit you'll ever meet..." he growled. He knew growling at them would probably make them angry, but they already were... what would looking stronger hurt?
His claws were already unsheathed from the first instant that he showed up in this place, but they dug in deeper into the ground. If he was able to join in on these cats'... 'invasions,' he might actually get out of any major troubles until then. He swallowed, and his icy blue gaze narrowed on Carcus. "You were being defensive, though," he muttered.

"Rightfully so." Carcus hissed in response, ignoring all else he had said. "And whom the invasions are on will be kept a secret unti~l-" He prodded a paw at the other cat's chest. "you've proven that you can be trusted." He winked, though he knew he probably looked like a mousebrain as he did so. "So mister strong kit. What is your choice?" He narrowed his eyes. This kit my join just to be protected, or he might actually join because he wanted to help, or he just might want to get himself out of this mess and bolt. Any way that he chose would probably bring him to death. Unless someone felt fond of him. It's easy to sniff out a cat when they're pretending allegience, and he'd be caught if he bolted away. And how would he die if he was serious? Why the next invasion battle of course... Still. He /might/ live. If he chose the truly loyal path...
Carcus's mind wandered as he stared at the younger cat. He did seem stronger than the average kit, larger too. He could be of some use.

((ooc://He is almost apprentice age, so I guess this would work out anyways...))
Kuro huffed when the older cat prodded at him. "I'll join, then," he meowed bluntly. He flicked his one of his ears. "I have nowhere else to go, and no one else to fallow." He glanced at the two cats. "And if you two are the only ones invading, you may need help anyways..." his voice drifted off as he glanced around, looking to see if there were any other cats. It would be strange if they were the only ones planning it, and if they were invading a larger group of cats, they were just crowfood anyways.
He turned back to the other cat, then groomed the fur on his chest casually, making the fur lie flat again. "Since it seems we may actually get a chance to know each other, I am Kuro." He dipped his head slightly in respect to an older cat, like he remembered his mother teaching him to do a long, long time ago. He sat down and wrapped his tail around his front paws. Honestly, if he were to have to get on the good side of these cats quickly enough, he had to be completely honest. They've lived long enough to be able to pick out the liars, the weak ones. He couldn't let any impurity show through, so he looked back up at the older cat calmly, waiting for him to respond.
