L A C R I M O S A
everything they believe in is about to change
Hundreds of years ago, a cargo ship bound to the New World collided with a reef, it's cargo and all those on board thrown into the water in the middle of a raging storm. Of that Cargo, 83 we're horses that the men we're delivering to soldiers on the coast. Horses and men we're swept away on a current, the ship lost forever to the sea. It was many days before any of them reached the shore. The men had all drowned, along with many of the horses. But 42 of the survived, and found themselves upon an island untouched by any living creature, undiscovered by man kind. And it is there, on the island of Lacrimosa that the horses made their home. They formed alliances and herds, and created a life style that had been previously unknown to them in the hands of their human caretakers. The Lights, The Darks, The Neutrals, and The Loners we're the four alliances that inhabited the island. Until recently. A new alliance has appeared, The Rebels seem innocent enough but news of a terrible plot led by their Queen is circle through the other Alliances. There's something strange about this new alliance, all of the horses seem to obey the Queen without question, never doubting anything she says though she tells them nothing of her plans. What is this strange devotion that a Dark Lord would willingly leave his herd, to work under this new, and strange kind of Queen? It frightens the Alliances, what else remains unknown of their world that they took for granted? As the upcoming war approaches, sparks fly and lives collide on the island. Horses disappear, and are never found. Strange powers keep making themselves know. And all that the horses once believed in is about to be stripped away to the bone.
