Many seasons ago, a great war was fought between the Dire Wolves and the last tribe of the legendary Maotu cats: the Kavari. The two wolf packs united and drove out the Kavari, claiming the cats' territory for their own.
The Kavari retreated to the desert, where they struggle to survive amid the harsh sands. The wounds inflicted by the Great War have long since healed, but the pain of their humiliation still remains. Now a fierce new leader has risen, determined to take revenge on the wolves and reclaim their old territory.
Meanwhile, the unity that the Senya and Kanaran packs once shared is now a fleeting memory. The two packs are barely civil to each other, and guard their borders jealously. But as the Kavari begin to cross their borders, they are faced with a choice: unite... or die.
