IT'S MORE THAN FIRE AND BRIMSTONE
A magical kingdom of myth and lore, a hell where Satan isn't the only one who wears a crown crafted of the bones of fallen kings nor is he the only one notorious for living a live of sin – these tainted lands bear not the kindred souls with hearts of gold and lives of virtue. The tale you are about to hear is eons old, spoken from the mouths of elders and into the ears of the young. Take heed to their story and do not just shrug it off as another ludicrous fairy-tale. Hearken to the song made with epic poems of our history!
You should always honor tradition they say but would they still smile with pleasure at the tradition on which this family practiced? It was a tradition of carnage and bloodshed, of betrayal and deviltry. For centuries father had been slain by the power-hungry son so he may take the crown of hell and do as he pleased; greed fueled the fires of their blood! Ralun was the most recent king of hell after overthrowing and killing his father Lezxu; Lezxu, in turn, had overthrown his father Sakerey and as far back as their founding fathers were concerned, this murderous act had been committed each time hells throne had a new ruler but the tradition doesn't die here I'm afraid for there must be one more life taken before hell can have a solid ruler.
Ralun was notorious for not being faithful to his wife and sister Aeneid, and had many relationships from which many children were born, each of which had different mothers. Since Ralun believed that his sons would one day come for his throne, the power that kept him alive and happy, something had to be done to be free of them, to rid himself of this family curse. There was only one tool to rid himself of the bastards, these descendants that had been conceived through various methods, including rape, would all die from a war planned by his own mind. It was a cruel trick to use but that primal urge to survive by all means necessary throbbed and pulsated in his soul! War would be his tool of the trade and corruption would be his mate – all that he needed to do was to put his plan into action and his warm seat would not mold to fit the bottom of another king.
She was a woman blessed with beauty that could rival that of Aphrodite, she was said to be the most beautiful female in all of hell and why he hadn't taken her for his own was still unknown but perhaps after this war Ralun would feed his gluttonous appetite for women using her as his meal but first she had a mission; and so she was sent to two of Ralun's sons; Cerberus who was the eldest surviving pup of Ralun's very first litter and conceived with Aeneid (and also the most likely to be the one to come after his crown) and the second born son Orthrus. With a sway of her hips did she have them under her temptress spell, with a smile she watched as they drooled over her picturesque beauty! – and yet she could not be happy with this treachery. There were times she had backed away from both males not to be seen for weeks on end, that is, until Ralun came to her, furious with the lack of attention she was paying to either brute and with the slow progress of this war. Heated words were spoken between the female, known as Asena, and Ralun only to end in a curse. Should she not have the brothers fighting by years end she would be damned to suffer a fate worse than death; Asena would have to continuously give birth to his children and each would die before they left the womb. Though gentle by nature, Asena would have to play the part of the betraying seductress less she wanted to suffer an eternity of endless childbirth.
Pleased with the growing belly on his lovely Asena, Cerberus was pleased with the news that she would be bearing his spawn though unaware that the belly she flaunted was not just his own seed but also harbored the labors of his brother. Aeneid could not sit back and listen to her son speak such happy words about a traitorous wench that worked for her unfaithful mate! Knowing how it feels to have someone be unfaithful Aeneid felt pity for her only son and to get back to Ralun for his most recent affair, she warned him of Ralun's plan and that the babe's he so earnestly believed were his happened to be sired by another male, by his half-brother Orthrus. Of course the first thing Cerberus did was call his mother a liar and other hurtful words that made them fight until the lifeless look in his mothers eyes made the realization come, that every words his mother had spoken was nothing but the truth. Fury was the fuel that made his fire of rage blaze high for all to see! A vow was spoken that day, the lives of Ralun, Orthrus, and Asena would be his to take and to make them suffer just as they now do to him. First he must find Ralun and take his life for his own to stop this petty war and break the curse on Asena. Don't be mistaken, he wasn't doing it to save her but rather the spawn that were his.
After hearing many rumors on which sleeper Ralun was bedding Cerberus went to her, killed her and the pups she was swollen with while he waited for his father to return to her after finding that Aeneid had been slain. The wait wasn't long, along with the fight father and son shared. Ralun, in a fit of cowardice, ran only to be killed later by the family of the dead girl since they believed that only the king of hell could do something as heartless as killing a mother and her pups. The throne of hell was empty and any who could handle the rage of Cerberus and the demands that hell brings could sit themselves upon it. It was the end of the year and Asena had given birth to five daughters of Cerberus and five sons of Orthrus. Upon hearing the news Cerberus went to her, told her what was to become of them and that he no longer wished for her but to have the throne to himself so he could rightfully banish the harpy since he did not have the heart to kill her, but there was one thing standing in his way. Orthrus. His half-brother believed that he had won the girl from his brother but this was far from actuality. Asena wished to be with Cerberus but he would not have her and only came around to see his daughters (who she refused to let live with him so she may see him when he came to check on them) while the sons lived in both the kingdom of their mother and father.
In death Ralun's plan was still ongoing to this very day. With the children born of different fathers and Cerberus's rage towards his brother and Asena, a war began but not for the woman, but rather for the throne of hell. Orthrus, being like his father when it comes to wanting power, wants to have the throne so he can keep it from Cerberus and so he can force Asena to love him but she wants the throne so she can win the heart of Cerberus who wants the throne so he can kill his brother and banish Asena. There is a war going on, a war to see just who will get the throne of hell, will you help the cruel Cerberus, the gentle Asena, or the power-hungry Orthrus? Perhaps you can become one of the nominations for the throne. There are many possibilities in hell, which one will you make?
IT'S A WAY OF LIFE.
