Lex;
A ginger furred female was sitting upon a low hanging ledge that any cat could easily clear in four leaps. Her bright yellow gaze swept across the land, narrowed and waiting. As leader of the rogues Lex was respected and feared. She enjoyed watching the look of all who met her as they saw her piercing gaze for the first time. Lex's nearly red colored fur ruffled in the light breeze that chilled the mountain side. Her eyes closed and she took in the biting cold. Lex loved the cold. It made her feel powerful, being able to withstand it. She was waiting for no one and nothing in particular, but waiting she was.

THUNDERThunder loped easily over the side of the mountain, following a path he had used many a time. His dark fur ruffled wildly in the wind.He stopped by a large boulder and inhaled the fresh mountain air, the scent of a fellow rogue drifting to him on the soft breeze. He bunched his muscles and jumped upon the boulder. All around him was the dark glint of mountain rock and off in the distance the lake shimmered in the golden sunlight. Thunder turned and spotted Lex, the Rogue leader laying upon a ledge. He dipped his head in respect, "Good Evening Lex." He called to her.

Lex's glowing sun yellow eyes searched for the source of the voice. She dipped her head in return to Thunder. "Good evening." She meowed, her gaze drifting back into the nothingness of the territory. "Come and sit for awhile." She invited, her chilling voice sounding oddly kind today. The breeze ruffled through her ginger coat once more as she absorbed the cold air.

THUNDER
Thunder bounded from the boulder and up on to the ledge in a matter of seconds. He fluffed his fur up as a defense against the unrelenting wind and laid somewhat near to Lex. "How are you?" he inquired cautiously. Her ginger fur reminded him of a sumer sunset, his own fur was as dark and ashen as the mountain side.Thunder turned his dark orbs to the peak of a mountain in the distance.

A small white tom padded over a few scattered rocks across the mountains, watching his paws hit the rough surfaces carefully, making sure not to step on any sharp or loose edges. He glanced up carefully when he heard voices, revealing cold, bright blue eyes. Kuro's fur raised slightly. Even though he was a rogue, the others never made him comfortable; they were much larger, much stronger, and much meaner. He continued to pad towards them, but he moved much more slowly, and watched the two of them cautiously, though scuffed his paws across the rocks to make sure that they knew he wasn't sneaking up on them. He was young yet, but he still knew not to surprise any wild cats... It would just end in either pain or death.

Carcus padded close by watching for some one or something to interact with. He narrowed his eyes, where was Pandora? Their wonderful, fantastic cat that could be better than /him./ That could possibly be better for the job of deputy than /him./ He let out a sharp growl like sound from his throat before looking away from the other cats coldly. He felt like the only cat he could talk to freely, insult without feeling belittled anymore was Icarus. Now that was sad. He liked the old tom fairly well, he was a good 'friend' so to meow. But.. He just wasn't enough. Then he spotted Kuro. A younger cat than him, and the newest recruit. He swiftly padded toward him his ears perked with slight amusement. When he reached him he whispered in the tom's ear "Don't do anything wrong, you're supposed to be making me look good." Of course, Carcus didn't care. Still, he liked to spook the scaredy mouse.

Kuro flinched when Carcus came so close to him, half expecting the tom to claw his ears off. He felt a slight shiver go down his spine, though he pushed it away and turned to him. "What, are you expecthing me to put you to shame?" he retorted. Of course all of these rogues could rip him to shreads in half of a heart beat, but he had to look confident, anyways. Kuro caught a slight glimps of Carcus looking amused, which calmed him slightly, but only slightly. After he tore his eyes away from Carcus, Kuro sat down calmly and groomed the fur on his foreleg down smoothly.

Carcus smiled, "Of course I am." He cast one last glance at Kuro, he was stubborn... and brave. But along with bravery almost always comes stupidity. Hopefully in the case of this tom that stupidity isn't to a high level. If it was.. it was all over for Carcus and his dreams of being high on the ranks. He shook his head trying his best to lower the bits of fur that had slowly begun to raise at the thought. His coal black eyes flashed a lighter color and he grinned a forced grimace like grin before padding away. His fate depended on this kid's act, so he better work on it. He better not smart mouth the cats like he'd just done to him.. or everything'd go haywire.

Kuro huffed, but didn't look up. He continued to groom the fur on his foreleg down, then moved to the fur on his chest. Honestly, if that cat didn't expect him to get very far, why didn't he just kill him in that clearing in the first place? He eventually stopped grooming himself, but still didn't make eye-contact with any of the cats. He glanced around semi-casually, trying not to look awkward or nervous around the older rogues. He sighed, slightly irritated, still, at Carcus, who still expected him to just die like the poor lonely kit he looked like. I'm not going to just fail at life... he thought irritably. I'll prove you wrong...

Thunder watched the cats below him. He hadn't met any of them yet and wondered if he should introduce himself, then decided against it. "Greetings" he called down to them in his gravelly voice. He didn't exactly expect a reply, but he thought it best to seem friendly.
The wind ruffled his fur and he stifled a shiver. He looked over at Lex briefly then turned his attention back to the skies. He could see thunderclouds on the horizon, their darkness loomed like a bad omen. "Let's hope it doesn't rain" he meowed ,his whiskers twitching at the though of getting wet.

Kuro glanced up at the larger cat that was up on a tall rock; he hadn't even noticed him there. Stupid... he told himself. Pay attention to your surroundings. He then followed the cat's gaze up to the sky, and sighed. He could feel it was going to rain, no matter how much they hoped it didn't. He heard a small rumble from a long ways away, barely audible over the breeze flowing over his ears.
He sighed. "Just our luck, it probably will..." he mewed quietly. He felt his ears prick backwards at the thought, though he continued to watch the large patch of clouds on the horizon. His tail swished back and forth slowly over the cold stone. He disliked the thought of the small group of cats becomming soaked in a long drizzle of rain, or poured on by a large thunderstorm. Either way, it would be unenjoyable.
He finally tore his gaze away from the sky, and glanced from one rogue to the next. They weren't really the kind of cats you'd think about when you thought of a rogue... They were calm, confident, well groomed, and fairly accepting when it came to newcomers... at least in his situation. Once he was done watching the other cats for a short period of time, he turned to start to groom his fur again; a habit that his mother had started for him when he was just very little. He couldn't help it; especially at the thought of rain soaking it down and ruffling it out.

Carcus glanced upward toward Thunder his eyes narrowed as they usually were. Whooo! I was just greeted! He thought bitterly as he looked at the sky. Rain was sure to come. The clouds and ominous feeling confirmed it. There was absolutely positively no way around it. He let out a deep sigh and flattened his ears. I'd better go look for cover.. He thought gloomily before slowly weaving his way through the crowd of cats. He heard hisses of rejection, and he only hissed back in reply. It seemed like ages before he reached the small overhang that he was looking for. He smiled and stood there for a moment gazing at the overhang, only to feel a drop.. and then another.. and then another upon his fur. Before he could look up he was completely soaked. His shoulders slouched and he walked even more slowly toward the overhang while meowing, "Oh joy."

Ignoring the glare from Carcus ,Thunder lept from the low ledge. His fur was beginning to cling to his skin, the rain weighted it down and made him shiver. He crawled beneath the ledge and settled in a shallow depression. Shoots of grass sprang up from between cracks in the rock ,making his temporary nest slightly more comfortable.
"Guess I'll have to wait it out here" he thought and shivered once more. Thunder curled up in a tight ball and wrapped is tail around himself. The tom yawned and rested his head on his paws.
The wind shifted and sent the rain blowing into his make-shift den. "Great..." the drenched rogue growled angrily.

Kuro glanced up at the sky as the rain poured down on the group of cats, and he sighed unhappily. "Told you..." he muttered. He didn't even finish his comment before he was completely soaked to the bone. "It had to be heavy rain too..." he mewed, loud enough for the others to hear over the rain hitting the rocks.
He tried to stiffle his shivers, but he couldn't. It wasn't even from the cold, but his memories. Kuro's family had died in a flood from heavy rain waters, and he couldn't tear that memory of seeing them washed up dead on the side of the river. He took a few quick steps up onto a higher rock, but he couldn't really see through the blowing rain very well. He knew it would be a bad idea to join another rogue in their hiding place; he would end up looking for his ears in the rain, but he couldn't see any other decent dry area.
Kuro sighed. He was already soaked to the bone, shivering, and cold. Like a little shelter would make any difference. He made another heavy sigh, leapt down next to a large rock, and laid down next to it, blocking out the hard blowing winds, at least. He would just have to wait it out... in the cold... in the rain...

EbonyleafBlack and silver she-cat slowly blinked her metallic eyes, silently listening to the splats of raindrops as they hit the ground. They had falling without mercy when she last looked. Ebonyleaf blinked slowly again, realizing she must've fallen asleep.
She had come in to the cave after looking for some herbs for a cold that was surely coming.Ebonyleaf was about to leave, herbs in mouth, when a cat she knew only as Lex came and sat upon the ledge.Other cats soon came.
Ebony had something against other cats so she stayed were she was, hoping they'd leave soon,go hunt or something. They didn't.And then when they didn't she stayed were she was.The cold and wet didn't bother her.Her fur was made for it,and she was used to it.
Still, she didn't like too be wet so after the rain had turned into a slow drizzle she stood, stretching. She moved out of the cave, hoping that she wouldn't be seen.
The funeral bell is ringing a reminder of our mortality Farewelling a deceased soul one day 'twill ring for me Ringing in the stillness of this cool Autumn day Across the rural city in the morning damp and gray

Kuro had glanced up at the sky as the pouring rain became a drousy drizzle, and stood to shake his soaking wet fur off. He was young enough to still have some of his kitten fur, so it either stuck stubbornly to his skin, or stuck straight out in the cold wettness.
He sat down to begin to groom his fur vigurously, but froze mid lick when he saw another cat. He didn't recognize her; which didn't say much, since he didn't know most cats here, but she seemed different. He couldn't scent her, either; the rain was drizzling just enough to muffle all of the smells around him into a single, drenched scent."Umm..." he muttered loud enough for the others to hear, tipping his head, and staring at her. He wasn't going to start any fights, in case she was just another one of the rogues, but if she wasn't, he was going to make the others notice her too. "Hi, do we know you?" he asked, continuing to stare at her.

Stubbornly, Carcus refused to join the other cats that had huddled under the cave. Not that he was afraid.. he just merely hated the stench of wet rogue cats. Some smelled like crowfood, others smelled healthy, and all of that mingled and tangled together was way too much for him. His fur was soaking wet and he was chilled to the bone, especially in the places where he merely had no fur. His ears, which he had been constantly moving where the most wet of all, seeing as there was nearly NO fur to protect them. The cold rain sent a shiver down his spine every time it plopped onto his now wet leathery skin.
He swished the water around with his tail, trying to ignore the water that slowly seeped into the fur that lay between him and the unbelievably wet ground. He kept his eyes on Kuro. For some odd reason he liked the kit, he was bold and reminded Carcus of himself when he was young. Of course Kuro was much handsomer, so they were no so alike in body than they were in mind.
Carcus, as unwilling to move as he was before barely managed to hold the urge to get up and walk over to the she-cat the Kuro so happened to notice. It wasn't unusual for unwanted cats to come here, they were normally attacked before they could think about where they were.. but this she-cat was quite lucky. Because of the rain none of the more familiar rogues with the territory and group hadn't noticed an intruder. Kuro had asked a simple question, of course the answer should be no. He narrowed his eyes swiftly and coldly. He'd wait and see what Kuro would do.
