¤¤¤ welcome to Phantasma. ¤¤¤
In the beginning, there was nothing, except for the One. There are many names for It, but the horses simply call It the Creator. And as the story goes, the Creator was lonely, so It drew Its breath and exhaled the elements. They combined and made the world; known to the horses as Phantasma.
From the elements, the Creator molded three beings. Boreas, the winged one, drawn from sky and fire. Notos, the horned one, wrought from earth and rock. And Zephyros, the female shapeshifter, made from ice and water.
The Creator crowned them the rulers of Phantasma, and told them to guide their herds well. It gave them each subjects of their elements. The Boreans were given the mountains, close to their realm of the sky; the Notosians were given the flatlands, free to roam at will; and the Zephyrians were given the lakes and rivers to swim at their content. But much to the Creator's agony, the Gods fought, for they wanted their own lands instead of the boundaries they were given.
Enraged, It split them; the Boreans in the north, the Notosians in the east and west, the Zephyrians in the south. However, the Creator banned them from the ring of mountains in the very center of Phantasma. It was paradise, the land of the gods, and only the three leaders could live there. The three were worshiped as gods, and now they lived as gods. Peace ensued the lands.
But, as in all stories, we know the peace cannot remain. For Boreas and Notos both desired Zephyros, the only female. She saw their weakness, and encouraged them to fight to the death. This they did. Angered at her plight to rule the lands singularly, the Creator struck Zephyros with his powers and she ceased to live.
The inhabitants were now godless. Without guidance, the lands fell into turmoil. Each wanted the land of the gods for their own. The Boreans craved the ring of mountains, the Notosians lusted for the green fields, and the Zephyrians fought for the sweet-watered rivers.
The Creator has long fled Phantasma, horrified at his creations. Even though It modeled them for harmony, they fought no matter how It resolved things. So the three Loyalties are left godless, and still they fight, their thirst for the lands remaining unsated.
The only thing that is left is the ending of the story. One more page of the book is empty.
How will it be filled?
