Spiderpaw ran foward, hearing the echo of Cloverfire's pawsteps behind him.
He enterned camp and ran straight to the leader's den.
"Havenstar! Havenstar! In the forest there's--" the apprentice stopped mid-sentence. His leader was gone.

Havenstar's ears twitched slightly as he heard the ringing of his name. His amber eyes flitted to the left, where an apprentice, who he recalled was named Spiderpaw, rushed past him calling his name. As Spiderpaw rushed by him, his fluffy fur followed, at least in a manor. No matter how hard he had tried to flatten it, his coat was as poofy as ever today, no matter his great dislike for it. He preferred to look like a warrior, not a harmless fluffball.
He narrowed his eyes staring at the entrance to his den and stood to his paws, holding his head high with dignification. But his acts of annoyance quickly faded to concern for the clan as he heard Spiderpaw's tone of voice. Ever so quickly he padded to his den, trying not to look so alarmed. As he entered he saw the apprentice standing there, as if in shock that he wasn't sitting in his den. It was as if Spiderpaw thought that was cursed to eat, sleep, and sit in his den for eternity.
Trying not to alarm him, Havenstar cleared his throat and meowed coolly,"What is it Spiderpaw?" He wasn't even sure if his eyes betrayed his concern or not, but either way, he felt like a failure. Is that all that he could think of? What is it? Though the thought that he was really that pathetic concerned him, he had better things to attend to rather than his personal ego and how he felt about himself. He had to attend to the clan, for something was obviously wrong.

Cloverfire intervened,
"I don't think it's much of a surprise, but I beleive it's the first time Spiderpaw's ever seen one, but we found a rogue camp. I can't recognize the scents, but they're vicious. They take down hard, disgusting prey. I don't really think they care, as long as they win their battles. I don't think that it's enough to alarm the Clan. I'll keep an eye on it, and if it gets worse, I'll inform you."
Sungazer's scent hit Cloverfire's nose as he arrived.
"Oh, am I interrupting?" Cloverfire shook her head - she'd just finished. "Good. Well... a kittypet that's about apprenticed or old kit aged has arrived. She calls herself Dapple. Maybe... you should go meet her?" and at that, the blind tom left about as soon as he'd come.

Spiderpaw's fur was still raised. At the sound of relief in Cloverfire's voice, he calmed himself.
"As a matter of fact, it was the first time I'd ever seen one, much less anything like that! So, about these rouges, do you think they'll come back? And if they do, do you think we'll have to fight them for food? There's only so much to go around..."
Zeon tugged on Spiderpaw's neck.
"Dapple's herrreee..."

Havenstar smiled graeatfully and dipped his head to Cloverfire in thanks and returned to the middle of the camp, not staying long enough to hear Spiderpaw's speach. He sat restlessly staring at the sky. So many new cats, could the clan sustain them all with this coming weather? A shadow cast across his heart and he truly began to wonder if he could keep this ever growing clan together. Let alone survive.

Cloverfire realized that Havenstar left before he heard Spiderpaw's speech.
"I think they'll come back, and we will have to kill them if they continue to eat our food. Havenstar has a lot on his mind with all the weather being messed up."

Spiderpaw was very startled. He never thought for once that they would have to kill them.
"Would I...would I have to help kill them?"
