| the camp:;
Nestled comfortably between a large forest and an equally large lake lies the HorizonClan camp which sits on a large delta. Surrounding them is Whisper Stream which gives a constant source of water and in the spring, fish. Since they’re right by the large lake, the camp can get fairly chilly at times, but a breeze can also be very welcome in the summer. The Leader’s Den and the Medicine Den are built under large boulders, the nursery in a wide hold dug through blackberry brambles, the Apprentice and Warrior Den in ferns and the Elder’s Den in a large, hollowed out log.

Winding throughout HorizonClan entire territory is Whisper Stream, the main source of water and occasionally fish for the clan. It is used as one of the main traveling paths to get to different parts of the dark-forest and of course, the Starcove. In the spring it’s a favourite sport to go fishing, as most members of the clan aren’t very good at it, but have definite fun splashing in the water.

Fading away from Eagle’s Craig and towards the lake is a simple golden field of long grass. It’s a warm place, ideal for hanging around in new-leaf, as it is full of prey. Mice are the most common, but there has the odd rabbit and snake seen. Apprentice’s aren’t usually brought to the field because of the vicious reptiles, but it can also be good practice for hunting in enclosed spaces.

The majority of HorizonClan’s territory is covered by a vast, thick forest of mostly evergreens. The floor is fairly bare in most places because of the lack of sun, but there are patches of ferns that dot the area. In less dense parts, moss, ferns and other undergrowth can be so thick it’s hard to walk. There are well worn trails throughout it from hunting and patrolling cats.

| the eagle's craig:;
To the eastern side of the HorizonClan territory and rounding around towards the mountains is an extensive meadow called Eagle’s Craig. It the main source of prey for the clan, with various rodents and generous amounts of rabbits. Up north where it meet the mountains, is a sheer cliff that nests several birds of prey that can be very dangerous to an untrained cat. In all however, it a treasured sight to see.

Behind a small, but powerful waterfall just at the base of the forbidden mountain lies the Starcove, a dark but mystical place where cats go to share dreams with StarClan. There is a small path that leads across the pool in front of it, and it most often slippery from the water’s spray. Once inside, cats take a bit of the bountiful moss, soak it in water and create a small pool for them to drink out of.

Just off of HorizonClan’s camp on the delta is a large lake that shimmers and shines in the sun, but froths and waves in storms. It’s an ever-changing representation of the uncertainty of nature, but more often than not a beautiful thing. Many fish make their home in the deeps, along with various creature around the edge, such as beavers. On the far side resides the Lakeclan camp, otherwise known as the dam.

The dam is many things but you could describe it simply in two words, "the camp." Though it is not truly a dam, it's a cat-made structure that is sort of like an unnatural peninsula. A narrow path of mud leads to a medium sized "island" made out of sticks, mud, and reeds. The whole entire camp is covered by a 'ceiling' of sticks, with a thin layer of mud, then brambles covering that to keep the mud in place. In this camp there are no dens, all the cats sleep and wake together.

Like many other large lakes, the lake on Lakeclan territory is covered by smooth stones. The water by the shore is clear, and the area is the teeming with fish. It's one of the prize hunting spots for Lakeclan, and a favorite place for kits to play warrior.

| the marshlands:;
When the steady shore of the lake ends, and the pebbles begin to disappear there is a marshland along the lake's side. Not many come cats come here, but Lakeclan decided to claim it as their territory anyway. Some cats are lost stuck in the mud and lost to the mysterious high tide. Yet, some particularly brave apprentices come here to hunt for the especially tasty 'Swamp Darter' fish.

Jutting out of the mountainside are cliffs that rogues don't dare enter because of the skill required to climb and remain on them. Lakeclan claimed this territory with no trouble at all, here cats train their climbing skills, and before an apprentice can be made a warrior they must climb to the highest part of the cliffs, which is right next to the river that flows through the mountains and creates the waterfalls.

Right next to the cliffs, or rather right in the center of them, is the waterfall. The river it flows out of is big and powerful since it has been flowing down the mountain, so it goes right over the edge easily. At the base of the waterfall is a small pond with frogs and minnows for kits and apprentices to practice their hunting on. On one side of the waterfall, instead of the pond connecting directly to the cliffs, there is a small ledge that creates a pathway to a cave hidden behind the falling water.

The cave is a large open space that has a small stream flowing through it, where the stream flows and how it gets out is a mystery. Here the battle training takes place.

| Frightening Beyond |

Beyond the northern end of Eagle’s Craig and Starcove lay a massive and looming chain of dangerous mountains that cats rarely venture towards, let alone across. It’s rocky with no definite paths, and there are far too many opportunities to fall off a cliff to the death. Despite the forbidding image of it, there has been known to be a few cats to cross it and never return, and of course, there are always the few rogue who dot the mountainside, watching HorizonClan…

| Skybound Faith |

As the day darkens to night, a bright sweep of stars can be seen most evenings. The silver pelt, as the main path of stars is called, is known as StarClan’s hunting territory, and indeed it is. Up there is where the deceased of HorizonClan go, and sometimes even the occasional rogue who redeems themselves. However, they don’t hunt just during the night! Even when not seen, StarClan lurks overhead when the sun shines.

While StarClan pads through the bright patches of night, another clan, a more hellish one prowls through the blackest parts where hardly any light flickers. Cats who betray the warrior code or StarClan have no right to ascend to their honoured ancestors and therefore have their souls tugged away to the misty paths of OtherClan, a mysterious place none can imagine clearly. It’s a dark place, scary and constantly cold. No cat would want to be trapped within OtherClan forever…
