The unfailingly innocent one has been with us since July of 2009, filling our lives with rainbows, kittens, and the occasional devious Halloween event (but we all know her true character now don’t we?). Her character list is vast, ranging from Nightshade Enforcer Alexander Sparrow to Lumyn Knight Mikhael Vann Hailbreak, filled with a variety of men, women, and Pokemon. But of course, who could forget her adorable self-insert Alyssa Chen and the legendary Eon Pokemon, Latios? Surely not us! Cross is always happy to help, no matter how busy she is, modding up a storm when it comes to lab and contest starter Pokemon. Need your first Pokemon on Mysste? No problem! This sweet little Asian has got you covered! Supportive, fun-loving and always ready for a good time, Cross is one of our two members of the month for November! (So give her a hug and a dog biscuit for Mochi <3).
BLACKIE!I think someone forgot to turn his swag off! Tying for first place in our Member of the Month category is none other than the Blackman himself, flown straight in from Firenze, Italy. We’ve told you all about him before but we’ll tell you again! Player of the infamous Fabian Alexander, dragon tamer extraordinaire, he continues to wow us with interesting and dynamic characters like the strange and god-like Elijah Thorpe and his newest coordinator, Roland Antony Pierce. All of his characters start out with a bang and Roland is no exception, held up on a Nightshade ship with a bunch of Pokemon from all around the globe. Will they make it out on time? Or will their escape be nipped in the bud by a nosy Nightshade grunt? With skills like Blackie’s you can be sure it’s going to be one hell of a ride no matter what the outcome! So crank up that dubstep and hop in a thread with our resident gentlemole, our second member of the month for November!
KIARA TONIC! A rising star in the Nightshade organization played by none other than BD, you better look out for this grunt! She may be the lowest of the low now but she is working her way up towards the top and nothing will stand in her way. Kiara’s tangled with the best of them, participating in the Mysste tournament among other things, and she isn’t afraid to show off her true power. If you don’t fear her starter Pokemon, the dangerously devious Venusaur Lucifer, then her territorial Houndoom Pyro will be happy to put you in your place. Think Lumyn is going to reclaim Eminence for their own? Well think again! You’re going to have to get through this powerhouse first and everything that she has to offer. She’s got a vendetta against the legendary Pokemon Kyogre and a mean streak a mile wide so think twice before you double cross her. Revenge is a dish best served cold and Kiara Tonic, our character of the month, knows just what to do to make anybody’s life a living hell.
baddest baby in the atmosphere! Get ready for the battle of the century! Nightshade-hating Venipede Penumbra is in Eminence and she has a bone to pick with its current occupants. Things turn nasty when one grunt in particular is feeling a little too big for his britches and like a bull in a china shop this poison/bug mix is ready to blast through anything that stands in her way, even potential allies. It isn’t quite the reunion that Bernard Churchill, played by Aura, and his former soccer coach Canaan Weidman, played by Tabbi, had in mind but what can you do? Penumbra certainly has a mind of her own when it comes to battle, as is quickly discovers when a local Skarmory tries to help a sister out and defeat the forces of evil. It’s a battle for freedom, democracy, and everything American. Too bad “teamwork” isn’t a word in Penumbra’s vocabulary.... LEONN BLACK & AUGUST BRUNKER! Leonn Black just can’t stay out of our OTMs! This month he’s back with his not-quite-boyfriend August Brunker, played by Sea. Sparks fly when these two are in the same thread, and even better, the same room, these two boys fencing with both their wit and sharp tongues. Neither has problems speaking their mind which makes for some rather entertaining conversations for both the boys and the readers. There’s something to be said about bonds formed in times of trial and after an impromptu battle on the beach the pair became rather close, travelling together to Rosemary Village. But things took an unexpected turn when August disappeared, leaving Leonn to care for his prized Pokemon, a Krokorok by the name of Torrenne. What will August’s return harbour for their relationship? Is Leonn willing to forgive him? Put your slash goggles on and head over to their thread in Rosemary titled ‘an overdue reunion’ to find out!
LATIOS! While he may not know how he got to Mysste, Latios, played by Cross, has certainly wasted no time in introducing himself to the locals, hanging out with none other than Fabian Alexander, played by Blackie. It’s a winning combination, as is clearly shown by the member of the month results, and it’s a partnership that’s sure to result in something epic! A chivalrous sand loyal knight, the legendary Pokemon is currently searching for his sister, Latias, knowing that she must be somewhere in the Mysste Region. But things have taken a darker turn for our Eon Pokemon as he consults with Giratina, Lord of the Torn World. What could possibly be going on between the two? Has Latios taken a turn down a darker road? What could he possibly want so badly that he would be willing to make a deal with the devil? Only time will tell but this legendary Pokemon is our Pokemon of the month!

Wow, we've heard of competition but never anything like this! A four-way battle? Everyone, if you want to learn about teamwork, this is the way to do it. Mickey Alexander and Leonn Black we've seen in action before, but the other two--Gabriel Adams and Eliot McCoy--are a new sort. Hey now, isn't the Lumyn General named McCoy too. Names are a funny thing, aren't they? Maybe they're father and son or something. Whatever the case may be, these two newcomers have a lot to prove against these veterans. What the heck is that Gothita doing, blowing up the arena like that? Perhaps it's a strategy for cover; you never know how creative these trainers can be when they start pulling out moves on the battlefield. With an Aerodactyl on the field, it really throws a curveball in terms of power. Let's root for the underdog, everyone!
Hey, isn't that Kalou Derveshmire walking out against Kiara Tonic? Sure is We remember them from Round Two of the Mysstian Tournament. Kiara beat out Kalou last time but maybe this is a rematch to take back lost pride. Whatever the case, neither start out with their tournament users. Kal starts out with a powerful Rhyhorn while Kiara uses a Charmeleon. The battle is intense, and neither Pokemon want to relent. Between explosions, they seem to just keep pounding away at each other. HEY! What's the big idea? Is it even fair to use Rare Candies in the middle of a battle like that? That Charmeleon looks like it's going to hurl! The tide seems to have turned. Can Kalou win back his honor or will his rival burn him to the ground?
These two are newcomers to the battlefield, but we're always on the lookout for some up and coming talent. Please welcome Liam and Bernard to the field, everyone. They start out with a Ralts and Shroomish respectively, and the Pokemon spend time trading verbal blows. Looks like the Shroomish is ready for business. While she works entirely on defense, the Ralts has a vicious offensive strategy. Neither Pokemon are giving in! These trainers don't look the type to give interviews either. Let's keep these incoming battles hot!

adoptions:; Sometimes we create too many characters we can handle, but don’t want to kill them off. Put them in this board for other to adopt; give your cat a chance to live and shine with a new owner!
character help:; Creating that perfect character can be difficult at times, but sweat not! We have a naming guide and several friendly members that would be more than willing to help out.
the camp:; Nestled comfortably between a large forest and an equally large lake lies the HorizonClan camp which sits on a large delta. Surrounding them is Whisper Stream which gives a constant source of water and in the spring, fish. Since they’re right by the large lake, the camp can get fairly chilly at times, but a breeze can also be very welcome in the summer. The Leader’s Den and the Medicine Den are built under large boulders, the nursery in a wide hold dug through blackberry brambles, the Apprentice and Warrior Den in ferns and the Elder’s Den in a large, hollowed out log.
the stream:; Winding throughout HorizonClan entire territory is Whisper Stream, the main source of water and occasionally fish for the clan. It is used as one of the main traveling paths to get to different parts of the dark-forest and of course, the Starcove. In the spring it’s a favourite sport to go fishing, as most members of the clan aren’t very good at it, but have definite fun splashing in the water.
the field:; Fading away from Eagle’s Craig and towards the lake is a simple golden field of long grass. It’s a warm place, ideal for hanging around in new-leaf, as it is full of prey. Mice are the most common, but there has the odd rabbit and snake seen. Apprentice’s aren’t usually brought to the field because of the vicious reptiles, but it can also be good practice for hunting in enclosed spaces.

the dark-forest:; The majority of HorizonClan’s territory is covered by a vast, thick forest of mostly evergreens. The floor is fairly bare in most places because of the lack of sun, but there are patches of ferns that dot the area. In less dense parts, moss, ferns and other undergrowth can be so thick it’s hard to walk. There are well worn trails throughout it from hunting and patrolling cats.
the eagle's craig:; To the eastern side of the HorizonClan territory and rounding around towards the mountains is an extensive meadow called Eagle’s Craig. It the main source of prey for the clan, with various rodents and generous amounts of rabbits. Up north where it meet the mountains, is a sheer cliff that nests several birds of prey that can be very dangerous to an untrained cat. In all however, it a treasured sight to see.

the starcove:; Behind a small, but powerful waterfall just at the base of the forbidden mountain lies the Starcove, a dark but mystical place where cats go to share dreams with StarClan. There is a small path that leads across the pool in front of it, and it most often slippery from the water’s spray. Once inside, cats take a bit of the bountiful moss, soak it in water and create a small pool for them to drink out of.

Splashing Fish
the lake:; Just off of HorizonClan’s camp on the delta is a large lake that shimmers and shines in the sun, but froths and waves in storms. It’s an ever-changing representation of the uncertainty of nature, but more often than not a beautiful thing. Many fish make their home in the deeps, along with various creature around the edge, such as beavers. On the far side resides the Lakeclan camp, otherwise known as the dam.

the dam:; The dam is many things but you could describe it simply in two words, "the camp." Though it is not truly a dam, it's a cat-made structure that is sort of like an unnatural peninsula. A narrow path of mud leads to a medium sized "island" made out of sticks, mud, and reeds. The whole entire camp is covered by a 'ceiling' of sticks, with a thin layer of mud, then brambles covering that to keep the mud in place. In this camp there are no dens, all the cats sleep and wake together.

the shore:; Like many other large lakes, the lake on Lakeclan territory is covered by smooth stones. The water by the shore is clear, and the area is the teeming with fish. It's one of the prize hunting spots for Lakeclan, and a favorite place for kits to play warrior.
the marshlands:; When the steady shore of the lake ends, and the pebbles begin to disappear there is a marshland along the lake's side. Not many come cats come here, but Lakeclan decided to claim it as their territory anyway. Some cats are lost stuck in the mud and lost to the mysterious high tide. Yet, some particularly brave apprentices come here to hunt for the especially tasty 'Swamp Darter' fish.
the cliffs:; Jutting out of the mountainside are cliffs that rogues don't dare enter because of the skill required to climb and remain on them. Lakeclan claimed this territory with no trouble at all, here cats train their climbing skills, and before an apprentice can be made a warrior they must climb to the highest part of the cliffs, which is right next to the river that flows through the mountains and creates the waterfalls.

the waterfall:; Right next to the cliffs, or rather right in the center of them, is the waterfall. The river it flows out of is big and powerful since it has been flowing down the mountain, so it goes right over the edge easily. At the base of the waterfall is a small pond with frogs and minnows for kits and apprentices to practice their hunting on. On one side of the waterfall, instead of the pond connecting directly to the cliffs, there is a small ledge that creates a pathway to a cave hidden behind the falling water.
the cave:; The cave is a large open space that has a small stream flowing through it, where the stream flows and how it gets out is a mystery. Here the battle training takes place.

Frightening Beyond
the mountains:; Beyond the northern end of Eagle’s Craig and Starcove lay a massive and looming chain of dangerous mountains that cats rarely venture towards, let alone across. It’s rocky with no definite paths, and there are far too many opportunities to fall off a cliff to the death. Despite the forbidding image of it, there has been known to be a few cats to cross it and never return, and of course, there are always the few rogue who dot the mountainside, watching HorizonClan…

Skybound Faith
starclan:; As the day darkens to night, a bright sweep of stars can be seen most evenings. The silver pelt, as the main path of stars is called, is known as StarClan’s hunting territory, and indeed it is. Up there is where the deceased of HorizonClan go, and sometimes even the occasional rogue who redeems themselves. However, they don’t hunt just during the night! Even when not seen, StarClan lurks overhead when the sun shines.
otherclan:; While StarClan pads through the bright patches of night, another clan, a more hellish one prowls through the blackest parts where hardly any light flickers. Cats who betray the warrior code or StarClan have no right to ascend to their honoured ancestors and therefore have their souls tugged away to the misty paths of OtherClan, a mysterious place none can imagine clearly. It’s a dark place, scary and constantly cold. No cat would want to be trapped within OtherClan forever…
